Studio Icarus

Where you can dare to dream.

Caleb Richardson

Hello, I’m Caleb. A fulltime animation student with a dream. I’m developing my own animated series “Crimson Touch” and I’m going to build Studio Icarus into an animation studio that can stand side by side with the greats.

You can support the journey (and rep the studio) with official Studio Icarus merch.

Large Projects

While studying at The Brit School in Croydon, UK, I spent months working on these, trying my hardiest to make them as high quality as possible.

This is an animation I made with a brief from a charity shelter. This was also a school assignment to explore the question, “What is homelessness to you?”. For me that exploration was to look at home as a safe place to rely on, this animation is looking at what might feel like not to have that safe place.

This was the Final Major Project for year 12 and my first animation over a minute long. I spent a lot of my Spring 2024 trip to Japan making this and I don’t regret the time I spent working on it at all.

Here’s my Final Major Project for year 13. It’s my first animation over 2 minutes. It explores the concepts of self and understanding. The different levels of understanding yourself and finding who you really are.
